Financial Reporting Manager

Description
  • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting process
  • Responsible for preparation and review of financial statements and ad hoc financial reports, as well as maintaining supporting documentation and schedules
  • Responsible for researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as analysis and/or review of complex accounting standards, such as: ASC 815 Derivatives and Hedging, ASC 350 Intangibles-Goodwill and Other
  • Maintain and update Company accounting policies and procedures, perform research on new accounting pronouncements and advise Division Controllers and management on accounting standards, as required
  • Be a key contributor for implementation of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, which will be effective on October 1, 2019
  • Coordinates activities with foreign accounting service providers
  • Prepare and/or review corporate ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Perform review of foreign subsidiaries financial results and intercompany balances
  • Assist in global transfer pricing documentation and analyses and other tax functions
  • Assist in maintaining accounting system, including setting up of new GL accounts and configuring, building and testing reports.
  • Responsible for planning and coordination of annual audit
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with and updating internal controls documentation and control requirements for the corporate organization
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned or required


  • This is a hands-on position with no direct reports. Financial Reporting Manager will work effectively and collaboratively with accounting staff, controllers and company executives. Limited travel may be required.



Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Four years of experience in public accounting
  • Six to eight years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, and proficiency with researching and interpreting accounting literature
  • Experience with ASC 605 and ASC 606 a plus
  • Ability to self-direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skills as a leader and a team player
  • Experience working under strict deadlines and willing to work beyond normal work hours in order to meet reporting or project due dates
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Working knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise a plus
