CPI Radant Technologies Division is seeking a highly motivated Buyer to support our growing business in Stow Massachusetts facility. In this role you'll have direct hands-on and responsibility for accurate and timely purchasing. You'll bring your expertise in managing demand for materials needed to meet Production commitments of Quality and On Time Delivery to the team. Executing best practices for timely purchase order (PO) placement, estimating material costs & lead time for customer quote bids, and maintenance of outstanding supplier PO commitments is your mantra!

Responsibilities and Duties:
•   Execute signals from the output of MRP and process requisitions and or purchase orders materials and or services.
•   Maintain open purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery date are reflected and perform system maintenance activities required (entry of standard costs, lead times, part attributes, suppliers, etc.)
•   Work closely with Finance to resolve pricing/invoice/inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
•   Collaborate with Supplier Quality to resolve material non-conformances in a timely manner.
•   Negotiate pricing and terms of purchase orders with suppliers.
•   Actively pursues cost savings opportunities by seeking out potential new suppliers, bulk purchases and negotiating better pricing, terms, etc.
•   Develop and maintain proactive supplier relationships.
•   Effectively evaluates risk to make sound risk based decisions and executes when risks are acceptable.
•   Assist the Purchasing Manager in establishing performance expectations and drive continuous improvement.
•   Assist with special projects/activities assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:
•   Minimum of 3-5 year prior purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
•   Personable, energetic, self-motivated, team player.
•   Strong attention to detail, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
•   Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, most critically Excel.
•   Prior experience in Aerospace and Defense industry preferred.
•   Knowledge of DFAR flow down requirements preferred.
•   Knowledge of IS9001 and AS9100 desired.
•   Experience with using ERP/MRP systems required.
•   Member of Institute of Supply Management (ISM) desired.
